One pilot was killed while the other survived the crash of an SU-27 fighter jet near Ussuriisk on Tuesday, a source in the Primorye territorial law enforcement agencies told Interfax-AVN.
The surviving pilot had ejected, he said.
Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Vladimir Drik earlier told Interfax that the Su-27 crashed near Vozdvizhenka airfield 12 kilometers north of Ussuriisk in Primorye on Tuesday.
Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. Neither deaths, nor destruction was reported from the crash area, he said.
The plane fell during a scheduled mission, at 11:30 a.m., according
to Drik.
