| Once the junkyard of the US, now slowly taking its place as one of the most powerful Air Forces in Europe. In the next six to seven years, with the introduction of the F-35, which now may be as much as 120, and the worlds third largest F-16 fleet, which are now being modernized, Turkey will have the second most powerful AF in Europe, after Russia. While France and Britan are downsizing, the Turkish AF is getting bigger and more modern. Turkey is also introducing modern AWACS, UAVS, Tankers and transport aircraft. Turkey is going to be a force to be reckon with. |
