it looks like its once it starts another page, this thread is doing it now, but I can post this from the original thread

The problem is that people try to post links in a number of different ways.  The link button up above is the way to do it.  In the past we have had people post links that are very very very long and screw up the formatting.  That is why we have tried to rewrite them.   How do you think we should handle this??

Ahh I see - what happened before is that when a (h**p://www.) was entered it automatically generated a link with strategypage as a prefix, just to see whether it still happens:
 
http://www.northkoreaisbestkorea.com" target="_blank">link  
 
Would another solution be to fix the maximum content width at 940px so that longer filename/url extensions don't result in a page that breaks the formatting?

I tried that and it did not seem to work before.  However with css it might work.  Back in the day we were not using css.  If some one posts a link though in that format it is not clickable.

What about making it the same but with automatic hyperlink generation (but without the sp prefix) combined with a max content-width that should be perfect - either way this is a big improvement imo..Cheers
