The politicians and bureaucrats would make up the policy, but as one of those actually holding the rifle and making the decision to pull the trigger, I can tell you that the Somali's don't want UN/US peacekeepers in their country. It doesn't matter what side you're on. If you're a Somali, there is a score to be settled. I and Joe's like me will be the ones settling the score. Nothing like what happened in 1993 will happen again in that country. The force that would be brought to bear would be incomprehensible. Every single citizen, if you can call them that, would regret the day they decided to pick up a weapon or aid an aggressor. I mean really, do you think that a Task Force of grunts would let that happen again, regardless of what their orders were. Send me to Somalia.
