On 17 May 2012 the BBC published a video entitled
"Nato supply trucks inflict damage on Pakistani roads." (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-18111172
" target="_blank">link ) The video is located at www bbc co uk/news/world-asia-18111172. The Pakistanis did not use the aid money to maintain the roads. @SP: There must be another story here. "
American politicians note that the U.S. has been giving Pakistan over $80 million a month in military aid." Was any of that aid ear marked for supply line maintenance? Is Pakistani corruption so bad that any money available for road maintenance is looted? Is the answer to that last question
self-evident?

No, none of the military aid would have been earmarked for supply line maintenance. Funds for supply line maintenance would have been implicitely part of the transit fees and taxes on the transport.
So yes, the answer is self evident.

Nato & the Americans should apply the "tail does not wag dog" principal to Pakistan while they still have time, I'd halt all aid, all payments, all benefits as dramatically as possible, anything coming from any NATO country, door slamed shut,,, including expelling their embassy's .... then just wait,
Meanwhile talk to the Pakastani politicians/media about blackmailing their protection, this would go through the people and highlight the dubious activity of the millitary.
Start an add campaign, it might not totally solve the problem but it will create so many questions they will have to re-evaluate.
They need to be put in the position, with terriorism or against it,.. with us or against us...
And if they are with us they don't get to blackmail us..
on the drone shooting the soldiers issue, I'm sure they were reading their GPS upside down and didn't know where they were, let alone being able to communicate their position accurately, either that or they were doing something obnoxious (drugs, guns or terrorists) and deserved to be shot at....
