went to watch the news last nite and it was all focussed on willy picton's conviction. figured i'd hit up the bbc and see what was going on in the rest of the world. lo i see 2 canadians rather prominently mentioned, willy and conrad black's imminent sentencing.

I am bathing the the warmth of your national pride, Ehran.

Both are good efforts, although i think the Columbians take the cake for best (worst) serial killers.  I saw an article the other day referencing one dude who killed over 300 women and children, and Columbia's #2 killer wasn't far behind !!
As far as corporate scumbags go, Conrad Black and his ever-so-humble wife will look good in orange.....

Can't think of Oz's worst serial killers (Ivan Milat ? Snowtown murders ?) but I think we hold the record for the worst mass shooting.  Martin Bryant removed 35 beautiful souls from Port Arthur with a semi-auto in 1996 over the space of a few hours.  RIP

Reflection: visitors to Port Arthur stand beside a memorial pool
behind the remains of the Broad Arrow Cafe where gunman Martin
Bryant killed 20 of his 35 victims in the 1996 massacre.

really wasn't pride i was expressing.  usually when canadians are mentioned in the international media it's in a positive light and you get spoiled like that.
