Subject: IRA FARC allegations
Gary Madden    5/2/2002 11:11:00 AM
This is utter nonsense. The IRA have no interest in meddling in conflicts in the Americas. The are an Irish liberation movement. They are seriously engaged in a slow moving peace process with the British and don't need help from places as far away as Columbia with anything. I wonder sometimes who has been at cocaine. Pro-British groups in the north of the island of Ireland have a clear agenda here as they recognise that the ultimate outcome of peace negotiations is a move away from the status quo whereby they are in the ascendency.

the IRA is a terrorist organization who has murdered innocents, and I condem anyone who supports them. Just like I condemn supporters of Protestant groups who do the same, or mid-east groups, etc. NewGuy

Mr. Madden, I would suggest that you read a newspaper or watch the Congressional hearings on the IRA training the FARC in how to make more powerful bombs and mortars. The evidence is quite clear and undisputed. The evidence is so clear that Sinn Fein spokesman Gerry Adams cancelled his testimony before Congress because the embarrasment would have been too great. While you're at it, check out the hundreds of bombs found in the Jenin terrorist camps- they are an IRA design. Identical, in fact. Yeah, it's quite clear that the IRA is one of the world's foremost proliferators of terrorism and its technology. Stevie Wonder can see the trail. Why can't you? /DT
