Subject: opinion on kalaloch´s racist posts
MERKAVAbestinworld    11/15/2005 4:13:35 AM
Kalaloch´s comments are extremely racist. Thank God the Americans in charge of important international decisions (especially concerning Mexico) are not that square-minded and ignorant.

Keep bitching about closing the border or reviving past punitive expeditions. That won?t happen. Meanwhile you can keep blaming Hispanics for any thing you dislike.

I have always delighted in anyone referring to me as a racist, given that I was born the son of an Army officer, and the first three colors I knew were khaki, OD-green and camo.
It might prove interesting to learn that I've been in Mexico over a dozen times, and never once to any "whitey tourista" havens such as Cape San Lucas or any of the more well publisized resort locations. On the whole, I've been treated well in Mexico, and what I would expect of any third world country that subsidizes its existence on bribes and corruption.
Mexico has historically, like a number of latin american countries, "nationalized" foriegn investment projects as a feel-good policy for their corrupt and inefficent government actions. Rather than take responsibility for their own national destinies, these people consistently want to blame any outside influence on the awful state of affairs within their own borders.
Last time I checked, we didn't have some 12 to 20 million Canadian nationals residing in the United States illegally; french speaking or otherwise.
The government of Mexico, as well as numerous other Latin American states, cannot even affect simple law and order for their own populations, much less pull off economic growth. So, instead of taking the responsibility for their actions, the people flee. I just do not feel like I, or other taxpayers, should be responsible for a whole class of people---regardless of ethnic make-up--violating our Federal and State laws, and then demanding rights they don't even pursue in the nations of their origin.

However, there is a much more simple and clear cut resolution to this issue. The arrogant George Bush walks into the UN tomorrow and announces, "Mexico is now a part of the United States." Perhaps then you would be content?
