Correct me if i'm wrong & i'll be breif! Between 1862-1867 during the french intervention in the politics of Mexico. Napoleon III ended up withdrawing his support for Archduke of austria (Emperor of mexico) Maximilian, dooming him to the forces of Juarez at his last battle on the Hill of Bells at Queretaro on Cinco de Mayo! My history is rather fuzzy, need to freshen up on it i suppose.

i sure as in heck didn't conquer this question! I've wracked my brain trying to remember, gotten a bit of a headache... so i looked up the answer! I've got it but won't post it, just wouldn't be fair! No prize for me, d@mn! Sorry my curiousity got the best of me. Perhaps, someone with a better memory and more intelligence and more will power not to cheat will get the answer right! Just too much for this anglo-brain of mine too remember what i've read a long time ago! Still, it's a good history question too keep us on our toes!

FINE. Fun is over. Puebla is the name of the city. French attacked Mexico cause of debts but it was realy ment to put the Cathlic church incharge and have a French Pupet Monarchy right below the US. Right when the French toulk Veracruz they whent twords the capital but got stoped in Puebla ending the 50 year wining spre that the French had. They tride it agian later but the Gov. lift the capital and went North. Maximillian got the "Mexican" crown, but Juariz,Mexico's first Indian Presidant, Lunched an anoying garilla war that the French couldn't win. They later lift after the US began supplying the Republican forces. Thus the Republic crushed the trators in the south and Juarez returned to Mexcio City as a Hero of Mexico and LatinAmerican Democracy. He is on the 50 Peso Bill, $5.50 in USDollars. Lincoln and Juarez had a god Presidant to Presidente relation to him and Lincoln is on the 5 dollar bill as will, ain't that somthing?
