What's hemet Grear? A patriot isn't necessarily a racist, but that cop sounds like a racist to me. There isn't much wrong with the US that he wasn't blaming on mexican immigrants.

I think some Americans need to remember what Mexicans contribute to our country. Mexicans risk their lives with the banditos to come over here, bust their asses in jobs Americans don't want, and for the most part try to stay quiet and invisible to keep from having any contact with law enforcement. They often send a tremendous amount of their minimum wage earnings back home so that family members in Mexico can have a better standard of living. Now I'm not saying there haven't been some really, really nasty criminals that have come across the border from Mexico, and that the gangs aren't a problem. I am saying this country should welcome anybody who still wants to come in here and work hard to find the American dream, and not make crass and uneducated stereotypes. By the way, everybody please keep in mind everybody, who knows if that goof who wrote that first post about his "research" is really even a cop. Most of the cops I've ever seen in the southwest are Mexicans themselves.

Excuse me--what the "evil" cop's reporting is empirical evidence. Are some of you denying the incident about the foreigners he caught with weaponry that were subsequently let go? Does this not concern you? Would you prefer to have a wide-open border? I don't think the cop's "anti-Mexican," just reporting what he sees and what he recommends be done about it. Ad hominem attacks--calling the guy a racist--contributes nothing to this debate. Do you have a better solution to the problems of: crimes committed by illegals? possible terrorist infiltration through our unsecured southern border? If so, let's hear them, but folks, spare us the "racist cop" tripe, please!
