Militarized CN-235, MADE BY EADS.  Couldn't the Coast Guard find an American-manufactured aircraft and support the American aircraft industry, the American economy, American workers?

EADS is now Airbus Military. The Coast Guard has a habit of buying European -- Aerospatiale and Augusta helos come to mind. It is a habit I wish they would break.

If the Coast Guard buys European maybe the European stuff meets Coast Guard requirements better than American gear.

Forgot to add that Airbus Military is a business unit of Airbus which is part of EADS.
