A suicide bomber killed himself and injured a South Korean tourist in Tiananmen Square. The government described the bomber as a poor farmer from central China with a history of mental problems. Elsewhere, corruption trials have been sentencing former high officials to death, showing how serious the corruption is and how far the government will go to try and stamp it out. Or at least appear to be doing so.
