Israel is conducting intense negotiations with Boeing for production of components of the Arrow anti-missile system. Having parts of the missile made in the US allows Israel to use US military assistance funds, but Israel now wants Boeing to build more of the missile so it can deploy them faster. The question of export sales remains unresolved. The US would have a veto over the sale of Arrow missiles containing US-made parts.--Stephen V Cole
