Turkey has reduced the number of helicopters under consideration from five to only three, these being the AH-1Z King Cobra, the Italian A-129 International Mangusta, and the Russian Ka-50-2. Eliminated from the competition were the AH-64 Apache and the Eurocopter Tiger. The Turks had been expected to pick a winner by now, but have delayed the final choice a few more weeks while pressuring the three final bidders for cost reductions and industrial offsets.-Stephen V Cole
