: Alenia is nearing completion of the three Italian Multi-Purpose Logistics Modules for the International Space Station. Testing is to begin soon, and the first of the modules will be launched early next year. The current schedule of station component launches includes: July: Russian Zvesda service module launched by Russian booster. Sept 8: Shuttle delivers logistics components. Oct 5: Shuttle installs the Z1 truss, the ISS gyros, and the Pressurized Mating Adapter. Oct 30: Russian Soyuz delivers first station crew. Nov 30: Shuttle delivers larger solar arrays and radiators. Jan 2001: Shuttle delivers 32,000-pound US-built laboratory module code-named "Destiny". Feb: Shuttle delivers Italian module Leonardo and various cargo. March: Russian booster launches Russian-built docking compartment. April: Shuttle flight delivers Italian module Raffaello and the Canadian robot arm. --Stephen V Cole
