A Delta II rocket takes off from Space Launch Complex 2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., at 03:02 a.m. local time on Friday, April 28, 2006. The rocket was carrying NASA?s Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations, or CALIPSO, and CloudSat satellites.
