MIDDLE EAST (Sept. 21, 2008) An F/A-18A Hornet assigned to the "War Party" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87 approaches the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) for recovery. VFA-87 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 and is embarked aboard the Roosevelt supporting Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan. U.S. Navy photo by Lt. Doug Morea
