U.S. Marines in a humvee try to rescue a stranded humvee from the Helmand River during a resupply mission in Nawa district in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Aug. 7, 2009. The Marines are assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. The vehicle became stuck while attempting to resupply Marines, who were guarding a helicopter.
