A dead Leiurus Quinquestriatus, or Arabian fat-tailed scorpion, is displayed by Capt. Mike Bay, the executive officer of the 180th Medical Detachment Preventive Medicine Support Team. This is the most highly venomous of all scorpion species frequently encountered in Iraq. These can also be found on post but are not nearly as common as the Androctonus Crassicauda scorpion.
