NORFOLK (March 23, 2011) The amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) departs Naval Station Norfolk as part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group. Mesa Verde deployed ahead of its original schedule in order to relieve units from the Kearsage Amphibious Ready Group in the Mediterranean Sea.
