MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 17, 2014) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) fires its close-in weapons system during a live-fire exercise. Donald Cook, the first of four Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to be forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is serving on a scheduled patrol to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility as part of the president's phased adaptive approach to European ballistic missile defense.
