The Chinese cyberwar against US websites appeared to have peaked today, with over 300 American web sites defaced. Some sites also had data destroyed on their servers. In contrast, US hackers only defaced 20-30 Chinese sites a day. More serious Chinese attacks on US government sites were not successful. May 4th is a major communist holiday in China and the cyberwar is a big deal in China. There is less enthusiasm for this sort of thing in America.
