Taiwan announced that a new UAV, the Chung Hsiang No. 2, was undergoing tests. No other details were revealed, except that foreign (presumably Israeli or American) UAVs were being considered as alternatives to Taiwanese designs. Taiwan has one other locally designed UAV. This is the  Krestel II, a propeller driven UAV weighing 250 pounds. It has a 60 pound payload and can stay in the air for five hours. It can fly about fifty kilometers from it's ground controller and at an altitude of up to 8,000 feet. The Taiwanese are concerned about Chinese UAVs, which also have few details revealed.
