The Chinese army newspaper (the PLA Daily) printed an article describing a recent exercise portraying an attack on American targets by a Chinese force in which "the (Chinese) group army joined hands with the research institutes to develop a simulated communication confrontation training system by using computer network, multimedia and virtual technology."
