The government suspects al Qaeda involvement with the recent bombings, but also has to recognize that the bombers are probably Filipino Moslems who have been fighting the Christian population for years. The government is trying to prove a link with Indonesian Islamic radicals and today captured Abu Sayyaf rebels who were making bombs. Abu Sayyaf, however, are mainly bandits who use Islamic radicalism for PR purposes.
