About a thousand MILF rebels attempted to recapture a jungle base of theirs in the south that the government had taken last month. The "Buliok complex" is outside the town of Pikit. The complex was guarded by several hundred troops, who were quickly reinforced by bombers and gunships. The army suffered no casualties, as they were defending the rebels own fortifications or fortified buildings. But the rebels fired a lot of rockets and mortar shells.
