The police confirmed that the NPA has been getting weapons from the MILF. This has long been suspected, but now certain types of weapons have been traced from the MILF to the NPA. This is cooperation of convenience, because the communist NPA considers religion obsolete, while the Moslem MILF consider religion central to their rebellion.
