Apparently the government and the more moderate MILF leadership have come to tentative agreement on the creation of an autonomous Moro (Moslem) administrative region in the south. There are still a great many details to be hammered out, and further talks are scheduled for June. It remains unclear the extent to which the several radical Islamic separatist groups among the Moros will accept the agreement.
