Subject: British army goes Guerilla

Modern Guerilla warfare tactics are massively effective against even the best trained ,best equipped and largest armies on earth, but these guerilla forces are often poorly trained (if at all), not too well equiped and have very little structure or organisation to them. what if you were to take the British army a very well trained, well equiped army, with good organisation, good funding and excellent versatility, and altered their military doctrines and adopted a guerilla warfare fightig style. of course they would have to undergo extensive guerilla wrafare training ontop of their regualr training but let us assume that they have already considered this, just how effective would such a fighting force be in conventional war ( i mean excluding nukes etc), and could they very well the most potent fighting force on the planet? your views please, cheers :)
