The M1A2SEP also has radically superior electro-optical systems compared to anything the LeClerc mounts, with three thermal imagers (one per crewman, except the loader) including the gunner's x50 power sight. 2. Well Armed -- No more so than any other comparable western tank. 3. Good Armor -- Again, at best no more so than any other comparable tank, and probably less well protected than any of the other major western competitors. 4. Mobility -- The only edge here is is bridge trafficability. Otherwise the LeClerc is no more mobile, nor any nimbler, than a Leo 2A6 or an M1A2SEP (and the latter, with the turbine, will out-accelerate any diesel powered tank). LeClerc is faster than Challenger 2 (70 km/h versus 59 km/h, 50km/h cross country versus 40km/h) but that's about it. 5. Transportability. You still can only put one on even the largest aircraft. You still have to put the LeClerc on an HET-type truck for long administrative moves. There is no benefit in this respect for sacrificing armor to keep weight down to 56 tons versus 62 ton Leo2A6 and Chally 2, nor even much benefit versus a 69.5 ton M1A2SEP. 6. User friendly -- Are we now arguing that the LeClerc is more ergonomic than other major western tanks? 7. Upgradability -- As has been noted before, all major western tanks (except LeClerc) have been upgraded without much fuss a number of times. I count five major upgrades of the M1 since introduction, six or seven for the Leopard 2, and even one for the Challenger 2 ('E' version). The LeClerc, in one decade (and correct me if I am wrong) has been upgraded once with software mods.

I dont think Leopard 2 A6 out does the new m1a2 SEP which came out in 2001 (i think).In the study by FAS it put the Leopard 2 A6 and compared it to the M1A1 not the new M1a2 Sep i think the m1a2 SEP beats the lastes verison of the leopard 2.And i know deep down in my heart the Leqlerc MBT doesnt have a chance vs the Challenger 2

Why are people wasting time talking about tanks that are not battle proven? The UK leads the world when it comes to armor and that is clear. While the Challanger 1 did have problems challenger 2 is much better, and battle hardened in the recent war while the french tanks collected dust like other pices of french military hardware.

And I suppose everything british made are good without giving valid reason is not hypocrite ? Listen, M1, Challenger, Leclerc, Leopard, Merkava, Ariette thay are all good. It's depend on your tactical situation and your users.
