Reactive armor as i understand it is a 1'by 1' plate resting on a bed of explosives that go off when heated matrial comes in contact with it blowing the RPG away saveing the tank. But it also leaves a nice square for the enemy to aim for next time. To me it seems like there has to be a better way to stop some thing hot. Why not trying to cool the meatrial instead. i was thinking of maybe armor that looks like bubble wrap and the bubbles are filled with a substains like liquide oxygen ( Which is like below -300 *C) to instantly cool the molten copper. There would be atleast 5 of these armor Bubbles per foot. The benfit of this is the copper reseals the hole made by its penintration as well as round that pass thought the liquide oxygen would become more brittel and peinatrat less against the main armor And you would have this big target on the side of your tank saying Hey Look at me, Here is my Weak spot, Shoot me here.
