Subject: Pakistan vs. India nukes, Missiles vs. Gravity Bombs

Why is it that India has more nuclear gravity bombs while Pakistan has nuclear missiles? I would think Pakistan would want to use their nukes more tactically, at troop concentrations after India breaks out of Kashmir. And I would think India would want to deter Pakistan by threatening its cities. Gravity bombs might be more flexible, but its a whole hell of a lot easier to shoot down a plane than a missile. But hell, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Pakistan's strategy is to go right for India's balls by going after cities, and maybe India's strategy is to use more flexible gravity bombs to take out Pakistan's arsenal ahead of time. Being a newbie, I would greatly appreciate more experienced thoughts

Perhaps both nations have reached conclusions as to which country would gain air superiority. Also/alternatively, Pakistan in narrow in the flight direction from India (east to west) so Indian aircraft can reach their targets quickly, while India is a big country so Pakistan needs a long range delivery system that is also survivable over that distance. Of course, the Indians are developing some nuclear-capable missiles and I'd assume the Pakistanis are developing air-deliverable bombs. Displacedjim

I think it is because, by the time either makes a decision to go nuclear, India will still have an air force, and Pakistan won't..
