i am in NJROTC and am planning to go to VMI in the future and it is the ultimate disgrace to see soemone calling our soldiers pussies. It wasnt thier fault of what happened in those countires, they did thier jobs, and we should be proud. And even if we dont have the pride in them, we should never go out of our way to deface them. I hate anti-soldiers!

Do be too hasty to excuse violence. As a Cdr of a US unit, you are directly responsible to the parents and families of the troops THEY give you and who is it your duty and honor to safeguard and protect. You have to be able to sleep at night knowing that you sent their children and their family members to their deaths. You must have more than any other quality, the moral fiber and character to do what's right and lawful, not what's macho. Military leaders guess wrong all the time and many troops committ crimes all the time. That's why there are controls. The troops I had to bury taught me that this is not a profession of shoot 'em ups and for gun tot'n maniacs. You troops are not stupid and will deal with you if you have this attitude that going out in a blaze of glory is a great career goal. I have had 2 CGs from VMI and they would have a very strong word with you if you graduated with a military always right atititude. People die in this profession, quite horribly and that means you to.
