The Bushehr reactor complex of civilian power reactors was begun by West Germany in the 1970s under the shah, the same time Iran began buying major shares of key German companies, such as Daimler and Krupp. After his 1979 ascent to power, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini ordered all work on the nuclear program halted, citing Islamic beliefs that weapons of mass destruction were immoral. I hate to continue to flog the deceased equine, but Hitler thought chemical warfare to be immoral too. He made an exception for Jews and Zyklon-B, mainly because he didn't think them to be quite human. The mullahs call Jews the descendants of pigs and monkeys, i.e. not quite human.

Good grief, WHY would you even entertain yourself with thoughts that the Iranian nutbars might actually have their own moral objectives. I'm sure they do but THEY ARE HOMICIDAL MANIACS WHO SEND CHILDREN TO BLOW UP SUPERMARKETS. Yeah - that's all I need to know. You're going to tell me that using nukes is unIslamic but purposely slaughtering babies is meritorious? Send in a B-1 with a SRAM loadout and end it now.
