Subject: We Would Hope Not But What If?
CJH    12/18/2011 4:25:43 PM
Have there been any significant nuclear accidents incident with the various nuclear weapon development processes of countrys such as Iran? If Iran had a release of radiation which affected a significant number of its people, how would the situation be expected to play out? Would Iran's leaders, whether true or untrue, automatically blame the incident on clandestine efforts of the US and of Israel to stop Iran's nuclear program? Would the Iranian people believe them? Would the world believe them? I suppose that even if a country's nuclear material were not practically accessible to foreign clandestine types, it could be alleged that nuclear or radiological material had been introduced somewhere by agents hostile to the regime for the purpose of a release of radiation affecting a populated area.
