According to a posting on Chinese military aviation the PL-10 is equipped with an advanced IR seeker and thrust vectoring for off bore sight intercepts. The system is scheduled to be deployed around 2010.

This is why open source--especially ANYTHING from a Chinese website--needs to be taken with a pound of salt (and in the case of China, pretty much disbelieved until proven true):

1)  There already is a PL-10.  It's their copy of Aspide/Sparrow, and it's been around for several years.

2)  Just yesterday BSD sent me an e-mail of some pretty drawings off another Chinese website, and that one showed a J-11 with IRIS-T missiles off its wingtips and outboard pylons.

A Chinese ASRAAM.  I rank that right up there with a Chinese IRIS-T.
