NYMAS Lecture, Friday, May 26: "Amphibious Marine & Colonial Soldier: Maj. Gen. A. R. Chater, Royal Marines, 1913-1948" On Friday, May 26th, NYMAS will host Don Bittner, of the US Marine Corps Command & Staff College, speaking on "Amphibious Marine & Colonial Soldier: Maj. Gen. A. R. Chater, Royal Marines, 1913-1948," one of the founders of British amphibious and counter-insurgency doctrine. NYMAS Lectures are free to the public. They begin at 7:00 pm and last about an hour. They are held at the CUNY Graduate Center, Fifth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets, in the Big Apple.
