NYMAS SPECIAL EVENT, July 20, 2006, “The Origins of World War I“ by Brig. Gen. Robert Doughty (Ret.)
In a NYMAS Special Event co-sponsored by the NY Guard, on Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 6:30 pm--8:30 pm, Brig. Gen. Robert Doughty (Ret.), will speak on “The Origins of World War I.” General Doughty, formerly the chairman of the History Department at West Point, is the author of Phyrric Victory, on the experience of the French Army during World War I, and The Seeds of Disaster, on its development between the wars.
NOTE that this event will be held at THE MAYOR’S OFFICE OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (MOVA), at 346 Broadway (the actual building entrance is at 108 Leonard Street, between Broadway and Lafayette Street), located three blocks south of Canal Street or three blocks north of City Hall. The 6, Q, R, N, 4 & 5 trains stop at Canal Street and City Hall.
