A Turkish government official said a Turkish pilot was pulled from the water alive, but Greek officials said their Coast Guard ships and helicopters were still searching for their pilot.

Well... at the moment everything is just guessing so we cannot know how strong the impact was, touching wing tips, cannot really know... So wait for the black boxes and what the surviving pilot says.

I think this was a big dick contest between 2 pilots from countires that traditionally dont like each other. who won?

I guess that the survivor must be a sort of a winner... Chicken race with a machine worth of few dozen million bucks is real men´s business. No crisis; just some irritating moments and blaming ahead. Crappy stuff for the dead pilot´s comrades, relatives and friends though.

It was Turkeys fault--they entered Greek airspace without appropriate flight plans, the Greek pilot died in the crash, surviving Turk pilot was rescued but refused Greek rescue ship help. There is a dispute between Greece and Turkey over the 6mile, 10mile border--Turkey denied its pilots were in Greek airspace.

Greeks wants more land. They have islands right beside our country and i hate to see them like that.I can go there by swimming but it does not belong to us.It is silly

Noone knows whose fault it was. All we are doing is blaming each other. And that's not good for the future.

The Greek islands are Turkish property ssince they are very close and u can swim there. Now why don't u claim the Banks money in ur neighbourhood since u can almost walk there. Same difference eh??

It seems it was Turkeys fault because they did not file a FIR (Flight info report) as required. Its simple they bypassed the formality as required in that airspace.
