Subject: Question for the Turks
SGTObvious    11/2/2007 12:23:26 PM
Okay, first, I hold Turks in high regard. People who don't take crap. People willing to defend what they've got. But... What is it with the crazy, excessive, delusional words we hear, like making rebels "grieve with an intensity that they cannot imagine!" Don't you realize that it makes you sound insane? Insane, or Arab, one of those two. Can't you just say "We're going to kill them" or something else logical, sensible, and simple like that? Do you really think the rebels can't imagine dying? Or do you intend to do WORSE than killing them? Please help me understand this. I would hate to think you are all nuts. SGTObvious

well you're talking about 70 million people+the diaspora
why generalize?
And when it comes to what I see on news...I'm really lazy to tell the whole story but I can begin by saying "they're not rebels"
Guerilla and terrorist is not the same thing....PKK is a terrorists organisation
And there is nothing I can say about what Turks say, some nationalist prefer saying "if you do X to Turks Y will happen to you".....I hate that too

Dude, who told you that? 1 guy, 2 guys??? I haven't seen anyone (any Turk) saying stuff like that anywhere to be honest with you. Whoever said that doesn't represent the whole country bro. Hope you get that. And we aren't nuts, just pissed off.

I think that is a wrong translation of a Turkish sentence. Because it does not make sense.
Probably original was something like that "They will get too many casulaties that they will not be able to recover."

Actually that at least has a poetic effect of sorts. And it is no worse then "set Europe ablaze". Let alone, "Kill Japs, kill Japs, kill more Japs." Or how about, "I will make Georgia howl".
