Subject: Been slavers, staying slavers

It is a sad but realistic truth, that nothing is going to change. The chains and whips, the guns and shackles may have been taken away but in reality they only have been changed by international credits to the african country. It does not matter by what means the industrialized world holds it's grip on Africa. It still does and will continue to do so. I can only hope that later governments and cultures will condem us all for having destroyed the evolution of a ressourceful country right from the beginning.

You are right, nomadontherum. Military colonialism is gone, but neo-colonialism (i.e economic colonialism) is now widely practised by industrialized countries, especially western countries (I am French). Westerners generally say that Africa's situation is the result of very bad leadership, whereas Western countries are largely responsible for it. Shame! Malrait
