http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,25365800-952,00.html Please pardon me if this has absolutely nothing to do with defense related issues. But this article on Australian society really blindsided me! Is it true? If the link doesn't work, then i will paste the article in a follow up post.

I must be hanging around the wrong kind of woman..  I've met some trailers, but to broad brush paint is a bit cute.

it hinges around the sampling and the stats methodology.

not a lot of rigour in the first place methinks.....

My better half theorises that its Baby Boomer and Gen Y women who are the problem....guess what generation she is?http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/emwink.gif" align="absMiddle" border="0" alt="" />

There are a lot of rude men out there too but for some strange reason not many of them are rude to me, unless they are in their cars and heading away at speed.

I'm happy for her to be a UK citizen.  she's lived there long enough. :)

It all depends the women that you are around at a given time. The women that I work with are by and large ladies, though if you went to Melbourne Cup day at the Canberra race track this year a different impression would have been conveyed. The young girls were all dressed up like little princesses but they could have made a drill sergent blush when they openned their mouths.
However, they did have great tits and I reakon they'd go like a thrashing washing machine, so I forgive them. http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/emwink.gif" align="absMiddle" border="0" alt="" />

I used to admit to thoughts like that but now I plead the 5th!

Yep, I witness this all the time. Seems the culprits are the tail end of Gen X and many of Gen Y.

Unfortunately, it is a symptom of our times. People of all ages/backgrounds seem to be less curteous to others.

I find that if I am stepping back to allow a woman through a door or lift, I get smiles and thanks from older ladies but Gen Y stare at you like you have done something wrong. If you say "good evening" or the like, many walk straight past and ignore you.

Have a look at peak hour at major CBD rail stations. Professional women pushing men out the way to board the trains in a rush to get their seats. They tend to stand so close to the doorways and then charge onboard that they don't wait for people to get off first!

Welcome to the 21st century. Sigh. http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/emsad.gif" align="absMiddle" border="0" alt="" />

The best story I have heard in recent years on this matter was about a man who stood aside for a woman walking into a bank. She turned and blasted him in front of all the customers, saying,
"Are you letting me in first because I'm a woman?!"

He replied,

"No, I did it because I'm a gentleman".

The other customers gave him a round of applause.
