Barracuda    Ok I realise I can't   6/27/2009 1:23:22 AM
Needless to say I am a moron and can not get the pictures to be part of this.

So do the ADF plan to bring in a Fractual DPCU.  A mate sent me an e-mail with pictures ... that I can not get to work ... They look like an exactly the same cut as the US uniform with the AUSCAM tones.

Does anyone know or was it Photoshop?

Could you upload the pics to imagevenue or something?

When I did a properties search on your "red x" pics it asked me for a username for a WA edu link.

I am curious to know if the fractal design is from Hyperstealth or an Aussie company.

Curious.

Have you seen any of these designs from Roggenwolf?

They solicited a number of designs a few years ago but were turned down.

I guess Thylacine will be a good choice when we mainlanders decide to invade Tassie.

Originally I thought I could just paste from my work e-mail, obviously not.  Tried to bring it across from a word document... didn't work either.  Tried to upload it, could do that either.
I think it is from an aussie company. Just the cut of the materiel for the version to be worn under ballistic armour looks similat to what we use already.

Who knows. Interesting link though.

Roggenwolf proposed about a dozen main designs with as many as another dozen variations.

I still think this is the best design yet...  http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/emsmileo.gif" align="absMiddle" border="0" alt="" />

The only problem with that one, Dropbear, is that they only did half a job on it.

Pointless dressing up an aircraft in cool camo (photoshopped or not), only to get stupid by sticking those highly-contrasting big white fuel tanks and missiles underneath.

That's as bad as when the US first started issuing ACU pixel-pattern uniforms, but then left the troops half-hangin' by making them still wear black, or worse yet, old BDU woodland green pattern, tactical accesories on the uniform: load-bearing vests, equipment belts, magazine pouches, first aid kits, ruck sacks, etc.
Notice nowhere in the US Army have they started painting trucks or AFVs in the same pattern, though...WTF?

But then again, we all know the US military adage: doing things half-@ssed is better than not doing anything at all!

...you do realize that camo on the Falcon would look match-made-in-heaven on an A-10, am I right?

Now then.........

For the HTTP and HTML non-users you can use the picture insert glyph in the editor bar. It will pop up a window. Insert the URL address of the image you want into the URL line in the pop up window. Then hit the INSERT hot button at the bottom of the window. Hit the PREVIEW hot button in the editor window to make sure the photo appears where you want it to appear. You can move your cursor to the perimeter of the photo and by dragging on one of the six size boundary hotspot markers that should show when you do that, then  you can size your photo to fit the text field.

For a text source hotlink:

Use the chain icon in the editor bar to produce a pop up window and insert the URL link in the hotlink line so labeled. Then go into the text box (TITLE} and title the link. That is important. If you  don't re-title the link with a word phrase then this board's  message editor will automatically prefix the link for you in such a way that renders it as broken even in many cases when using Microsoft IE. By relabeling the link you capture the url in a segregated code segment where it will work as a hotlink for the three internet explorers named.. Once that is done, hit the OK button.

As always use the PREVIEW to see if the link appears as you titled it. If it does not, then redo until it does ;. Play with it until you figure it out.

I still think the lack of a back edit feature for a posting stinks and the title bar is horrible because its onlyn sixteen characters long as a window, but even the small text editor window is fixable with the F-11 and F12  pop up window keys pre-post, but who has TIME to monkey with that?

The standard editor window is very small  It drives me nuts. As poor a typist as I am, I can look and read like a moron sometimes from all the typos when I'm in a hurry..
