Subject: Speculation on UK election
YelliChink    4/6/2010 2:39:21 PM
My speculation: Labour, losers. Tories will win by slight margin and probably won't have majority. UKIP big jump in influence. However, the notorious BNP may get few seats.

The Tories are currently 40% in recent polls. If this stays the same, this will result in a comfortable majority. Margaret Thatcher had 46% just before her landslide second term election victory, taking 397 seats to Labour's 209.

I predict that labour will suffer a similar defeat this time but the Lib-Dems will get more seats than at present.

The BNP won't get any, nor will the Greens. UKIP is a joke.

The results depend more on the distribution of the voters than the total poll numbers.  It is better to barely win in a lot of districts than have landslides in a few.

What? What the heck is David Cameron doing? He hires Anita Dunn!?!?!?

I thought that Tories are supposed to be conservative, not right wing of Labour  Party. The more I look at it, the more I realize this is replay of 2008 election in the US, which Republicans threw the election deliberately.

It is very obvious that good UK people have no control over their government. The conservative bloc will still come out to vote, but they will vote UKIP not Tories.  There is a chance the Gordon the One Eye Troll may win the election due to mismanagement by the loser David Cameron.
