Hmmm.... haven't heard of such a thing happening here in the US, where an entire amusement park was closed off to the majority of the public in favor of the highest bidder. Perhaps a section or two, but not an entire amusement park! Then again, i could be wrong...

Pretty sure Six Flags has done it many times. Most companies don't want to kick down the required dollars for it, but if you got the dough, they got you a park...

It would make a certain amount of sense for them to do it during the off season. But, i can't think of a better way of driving off business for a theme park, than shutting it down during the peak of their seasonal prime time, to the detriment of their long term business interest's.

Alton Towers was rented for a day by a Muslim travel/tour company for the day. But it wasn't just for Muslims, any one could go, from any religion, believers or not, you could only go to AT fot this day though if you booked through this particular tour company though.
