heraldabc    How I answer...    12/8/2011 6:32:19 PM
is MY CHOICE/ And I don't think much of MULTIPLE Greek pilots who ambush one UNARMED Turk in international airspace.

The rest of your crap is just the usual claims with no real facts. Have a nice day.

H.

Do you know that in the only real engagement ever mirage 2000 killed a F16 (october 8th, 1996, Greek M2k killing turkish F16, using a french missile rofl).

Stop your stupid eternal french bashing, get out of your kitchen and go ask to your army/navy/airforce/marines professionals their opinions (i mean those that went to battleground, not a fat retired praetorian former pilot) how things work between US and French soldiers/hardware, you will probably be surprised by their answers .

It was unarmed, hollow. October of 1996. Look it up. Jane['s today is suspect. Frankly a lot of stuff they publkish is just dead wrong. That is why you use a variety of industry trades, listen to what the government flaks say, or report and then you ;listen to your OWN experts.

So Basler Zeitung claim to have seen reports, but as they dont fit you, you dont believe them
Jane's claim to have seen the reports......
Swiss general attorney starts an inquiry about th leaks
Swiss army start an internal inquiry about the leaks...

But as you know everything thay are all wrong ROFL

Rafale won the technical evaluation in switzerland. End of the story.
It was simply too expensive for swiss needs (sky police).

Btw Rafale aie intakes are NOT under the wings. Take your time, look at a photo, the wing is the big flat thing on the side of the plane. Air intakes are under the canards, not the wings.

Another thing, as you keep on french trying to steal US Klingon technology, what about CIA trying to buy secretely some Mistral missiles from Cyprus army (wikileaks cable 09STATE52499) i guess it was to offer toys to their children...

You see where the air ram tunnels to the M-88s are, Hollow?  You see where the strakes that lead to the canard are?

A canard... by the way...is a fore-wing used for pitch control on a delta winged aircraft.

As for the rest of your noise... HAVE A NICE DAY.

So please once again go back to your first post in this subject, did your opinion evolve about rafale and the way war was lead?

My opinion in 2005 was the same as it is NOW. The RAFALE is a decent if somewhat mediocre bomb-truck in the F-16 Block 52 class.

As such, it is 1990s technology at 2011 prices.

H.

Since the 2005 Rafale was not the 2011 Rafale, your opinion's all the less relevant (still harping on alleged RBE-2 problems, ten years and several evolutions of the radar later ?). Seems you can't escape your own bias in this matter, and it's a pity.
It shows in how willing you are to ignore technical evaluations (must be lyiiiing ! Jane's not reliable ! Me know better !) and the Libyan campaign* when they're not agreeing with your preconceptions.
Now on to pricing... I wish we'd get out of the euro.

* yes, Libya wasn't a military juggernaut. I guess this makes combat experience by recent American planes worthless, too, since Iraq and Taleban weren't exactly frightening adversaires in the air.
