Wrt the FBW and FBL , I got numerous credible sources and it goes both ways ... I can 't find a date for the implementation of FBL . I am mailing Dassault right away .

Tried to start a compendium of your lies, inaccuracies, false/inmaginary data you gave in this forum, just reached p19 and i may be close to the 4000 words. Tedious but funny work ! Would take me ages to dig all of them anw...

Its in the very stuff that one of you fanbois trotted out a while back.
 
This configuration is designed to operate till the
maximum lift, without any limitation.
The fly control system, with four digital
independent channels, continuously master the
required stability for each flight phase.
In approach phase, the canard is turning upward
while the pitch control surfaces are down, acting
as flaps.
This configuration adds a strong lift on the
canard and on the pitch control surfaces that
dramatically reduce approach speed on the
carrier.
During the catapult phase, at the end of the
deck, the digital fly control system
automatically increases the angle of attack up to
about 20 degres and stop the rotation, after one
second, to reach the required lift for horizontal
flight.
This digital fly control system pilots the thrust
and the drag in approach mode: engine thrust is
set a little bit higher than necessary , and the
drag is produced by both canard and pitch
control surfaces(at high frequency).

The problems were ironed out and the DFCS was introdueed as a design rewire in the F-16 Block 40 forward.
 
Around 1990 I believe.

By the way , since you seem to know Kovy 's site , you should talk to him (by mail or at air-defense) . His knowledge on Rafale is waaay better than mine , a true Pro .
Did you read this old pdf entirely ? 
I often use Mr Hironde studies , he is the Rafale Program Manager .
