Subject: F-35 vs. Eurofighter
IAFbestinworld    8/13/2004 11:49:07 PM
Lockheed says that besides the f-22, the f-35 will be the best air to air fighter in the future, is this true? Could an f-35 take a Eurofighter? My opinion says yes since f-35 contains more stealthy characteristics.

"The Eurofighter is not a fifth generation aircraft, it is not on the same level as an F35 or an F-22" Yes it is, perhaps not on quite the same level in regards to stealth due mainly to US experience in this field though it is pretty close to the F-35 in this regard if you would look at my links and in pretty much every other area it had the same or better capabilities. My link has already stated it's capabilities in comparison to other aircraft, why do insist in blatantly ignoring this fact, it is becoming tiresome.

The JSF is more advanced than the Eurofighter. -This is why the Brits are trying to get the software codes and why America is reluctant to part with them... =============================== http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,9067-1191850,00.html ===============================

I was talking about stealth, not about the capabilities. Take away the stealth, the Eurofighter has the advantage, no question. However, the F-35 has stealth so i would give the edge to the F-35.

As I say before, stealth is not the defining factor it is the proportionate balance of capabilities relevant to today’s strategic environment, the E/F2000 is a fifth generation aircraft and is competitive in stealth technology. Human 7, the idea that the F-35 is superior to the E/F2000 simply because the MoD want access to software codes is not very persuading. In-fact it is so the RAF are able to service the aircraft without having to transit them through Lockheed Martin.
