The legendary incompetence and corruption of the Indian procurement bureaucracy always impresses me They NEVER learn that the Indian government would be better served by buying already proven foriegn made weapons They even messed up making an improved AK with the ill fated Insas rifle. We will see if IWI can manufacture the Tavor bullpup rifle in India At least they won the right to use a private factory and not a government run factory (Where no one can be be fired) If a company is smart, and wins an Indian contract, they will manufacture the parts abroad and only assemble the weapon in India. That would satisfy the national pride of " made in India", but allow actual engineers, not lifetime civil servants to supervise production
