A simple question; who of you on this board think we should have gone into Sudan by now?
I know I do. I find the lack of action quite astonishing. The Jews were persecuted in WWII, and the world promised it would never let it happen again; the Muslims were persecuted in Rawanda and after the event we said we should have done something, now over 50,000 people have lost their lives in the Sudan recently and all we do is kick around resolutions? When their is clear footage of government Mi24 gunships taking off with a full weapon load, then returning empty, with civillians latter saying they were bombed?
Now, Sudan I believe in their civil war has claimed nearly as many lives as that who died in WWII, I am not saying it isn't a hole, but isn't it the "free worlds" duty to change the regime if need be?
I am not saying the US should do something, I am saying the UN should. |
